Isaac started the company with a horse and buggy, moving families and businesses throughout a booming Baltimore City. Isaac took care of his customers and treated them as if they were member of his own family. He was committed to his community both in his work and outside. He joined numerous civic organizations, giving both time and money to worthy causes all over the city. His commitment allowed the Davidson companies to grow from his small horse and buggy business into a regional powerhouse in the transportation industry. We like to call the unique brand of service that Isaac pioneered, the Davidson Way.

With coverage now extending to the entire Baltimore, Washington D.C., and South Central Pennsylvania Metropolitan areas, the Davidson Transfer & Storage Company serves an area of over 7.3 million people (Source: Population Estimates and Population Distribution Branches, Population Division, U.S. Bureau of the Census). One of Isaac's sons, Hessie Davidson, with Davidson's original No. 2 truck. The truck remains on display for public viewing at the Baltimore Museum of Industry. Though the cobblestone roads of Isaac's time may have given way to Interstates and the horses been passed up for tractor-trailers, the way the Davidson Family of companies do business remains very much the same.
